Congratulations to our CEO, Grant Gunston, who recently wrote and passed the prestigious Institute of Directors’ “board exam”, and is now accredited by the IoDSA as a Certified Director.
The accreditation requires a combination of coursework, online assessments, and the board exam, and the IoDSA has ongoing CPD requirements for its members to maintain the Certified Director designation.
The Institute of Directors is South Africa’s go-to standard bearer for governance and effective board functioning. It is also the custodian for King IV, South Africa’s implementation of the Global Reporting Initiative. Its role and contribution to good governance in SA can’t be over emphasized, especially in the context of recently revealed governance failures, both in the private and public arenas.
Grant is already a member of various boards, both in the business and non-profit sectors, and is looking to continue to expand his contribution, tapping into his involvement with the IoDSA programs and his 25 years’ experience as a practicing attorney.
